How to replace the battery

Note: If you are not comfortable replacing the battery yourself, you can take your laptop to the nearest trained technician.

Step 1 Power down your Laptop and unplug it from the AC adapter.

Step 2 Close the Laptop lid and turn it over.

Step 3 Locate the battery section on the bottom of the Laptop. It is usually secured by latches or screws.

Step 4 carefully remove the battery section cover.

Step 5 Disconnect the battery connector from the laptop motherboard.

Step 6 Remove the vintage battery from the compartment.

Step 7 Insert the new battery into the compartment, making sure the battery connector is aligned with the connector on the motherboard.

Step 8 Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard.

Step 9 Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with a handle or screw.

Step 10 Turn your Laptop over and open the lid.

Step 11 Plug in the AC adapter and power on your Laptop.
